HAPPY THANKSGIVING Today On Daily Dog

Welcome to the Thanksgiving day special here Today On Daily Dog! This is Lexie here bringing you our message today.

The Mommins' just had Thanksgiving day dinner and oh boy did it smell good. All of us puppies behaved while they were eating so of course we were rewarded accordingly with a little tidbit! Yummy!

Now were are just lounging and watching football, it has been so much fun having Mommins Samantha around all week. We will all be sad next week when she is back to work. I think we are going to put the Christmas tree up later, OMG so much fun! Well that is all from me and looks like everyone else is sleeping so check back tomorrow for more from Today On Daily Dog!

Molly's here Today On Daily Dog

Hey there, this is Molly here Today on Daily Dog, I know you're probably thinking who? You may also be thinking uh oh did they get ANOTHER one! Don't worry I'm just here on vacation. My Mom, Sally, is out of town for thanksgiving and thought where better for me to stay than with other English Springer spaniels. I just arrived here earlier today an already I'm feeling at home. Lexie was kinda annoying to begin with, she kept barking! Then she was put in time out in the kennel, after about half an hour she was let out and everything was fine, in fact Lexie and I even took a nap together, see!

Before my nap with Lexie I took a nap with Montie!

So I'm going to be here for a few days and I know I'm going to have so much fun! Over to you Brodie...Brodie...BRODIE!!!

Brodie wake up, you're on the blog...

Oh well looks like Brodie is fast asleep, Izzie how about you, do you have anything to say on the blog today?

Well I guess not, all that's left to be said is HAPPY THANKSGIVING from Me, Molly along with Lexie and Montie, oh and Brodie and Izzie too!

Weekend Getaway! Today On Daily Dog

Today On Daily Dog it's Montie here and I'm going to tell you all about our weekend trip to Napa with the Mommins'

Mommins Samantha woke up early this past Sunday, well actually Izzie woke her up, and she decided that we should all do something fun. Mommins Rachel had been wanting to go to The Culinary Institute in St. Helena to buy some fun cooking items and so it was decided. Mommins Samantha looked up a doggie place she had heard about called Alston Park in Napa. It is a huge grassy, hilly area where dogs are allowed to run off leash plus it had enclosed play areas too! OMG it sounded amazing!

So we all jumped into the car and headed off

This is Izzie in the car when she was just a baby puppy

By the time we arrived at Alston Park we were all hyped up and burst out of the car, this didn't make the Mommins' very happy, but we were all good boys and girls and listened to the Mommins after that. The park was amazing there was green grass, blue skies and tons of other doggie pals to sniff. We went running up and down the hills with the Mommins just managing to keep up behind us, there were vineyards and mountains in the background which made everything look very pretty.

We were to busy runnin' around to stop for pictures!

After we were all tired out from our outing we got back in the car and headed for St.Helena. We slept in the back of the car while the Mommins' went shopping at the Culinary Institute. Then we headed for the Mommins favorite burger joint, Taylor's Automatic Refresher, I could smell it out of the window a mile away! Oh it smelled so good! They had a huge grass area so all of us pups could hang out by the Mommins while they ate. Mommins Rachel had a burger with bacon, onion rings and crumbles of bleu cheese with fries, Mommins Samantha had a burger with salsa, jalapenos and guacamole and garlic fries, phew boy did her breath smell then she tried to kiss me like a million times, I didn't mind though, I love my Mommins' so much! Of course because we were so good all day we got some fries to eat, what a fun day.

This is the grass area where we ate at Taylor's

We got home pretty early considering all that we did then the Mommins' friend Sally came over with her English Springer Spaniel, Molly. She is a really nice girl and I get along well with her, Lexie was a bit jealous I think but she got over it.

Stay tuned tomorrow for more stories about us 4 Springers and Molly, that makes 5!

Introducing Miss Isabella Blackberry Today On Daily Dog

Hello it's Brodie here and welcome to a new week Today On Daily Dog! Our "Name Game" has come to an end and we have decided on a truly special name for our Little Izzie girl. Thank you to everyone who made suggestions they were all great and some made us laugh too!

Introducing Miss Isabella Blackberry here with her edition of 'The Daily Dog'

So where did the name come from Lexie? Well the Mommins decided to start with "Miss" just like in my name since we are both little girls, then her full first name is Isabella but she goes by Izzie. Then Blackberry was chosen because when we first moved out here to California there were Blackberries in the backyard and she was eating them off of the bushes. The Mommins' didn't see her eat them and became alarmed when Izzie's poo was black, just before they rushed her to the vet she ran over and started eating the berries off the bushes again and they realized what she had been up to! That plus the fact she is Black in color it made sense to go with the name Blackberry. So there you have it, Miss Isabella Blackberry at your service!

What do you think Montie? I think it's perfect, I think we all have perfect names... well except Brodie but thats another story! Oh do tell us Montie. Well The Mommins' didn't actually name Brodie, his papers were stolen when he was just a pup and so was he, it was quite traumatic by all accounts! Anyway of course Mommins Samantha went crazy and got him back. So it remains Brodie Gunner but I heard the Mommins say she actually wanted to use the names Brodie and Gunner in his name but wanted to add a third part to make it sound better like mine, hehe.

Whatever guys my first name kicks butt! Everyone comments about how cool of a name Brodie is! So all that is left for this edition of Today On Daily Dog is to get Izzie's reaction to her new name.

Hi everyone, I just love my name, I think it fits me to a tee. However one of the other suggestions was Isabella Frecklenose Sassypants which would also have worked for me, thanks Erin!

That's all from us Today On Daily Dog, watch out for tomorrows edition, we will have stories from our weekend outing to Napa and St. Helena!

Good Night!

Friends and Family Today On Daily Dog

Hey guys this is Brodie here Today On Daily Dog, Montie was supposed to post on the blog yesterday but he fell asleep on the ottoman... as usual! Today I wanted to give a shout out to some of our doggies friends and post a few pictures of them here on the blog.

Firstly is Kevik, he is an old friend from Purdue, well he is actually from Michigan originally. Kevik is a big Chocolate Labrador, not sure why they call Labradors chocolate and us Springers liver 'cos we look like the same color to me.

This is a picture of Lexie, when she was just 3 months old giving Kevik a kiss, also you can see my freckles in the background! Lexie LOVED Kevik and I have to keep this post quiet 'cos if she sees it she might get upset since Kevik lives at Purdue still. I did hear the Mommins' trying to Persuade Kevik's Mommins Kalie to move out here with us though. Lexie would love that!

Our other buddy that used to live with Kevik is Reggie, he is a pretty handsome guy. Hey even though I'm a guy I can still say that about another guy... come on! Anyway he is a big Bernese Mountain dog and took a while to grow into his legs when he was a pup but now he looks huge!

This is Reggie and Kevik having fun in the water.

I'm not too sure what Mo is doing here but he has got Kevik and Reggie spooked for sure! That Mo is a crazy guy sometimes, haha

Then there is our Uncle Barney, we keep in touch online since he lives in Scotland with Granny Hunt. Barney is a Black Labrador and he's got a few years on him I think he is 13 now, but he sure knows how to have fun!

Here is a picture of Barney and Granny Hunt, I am sooooooooooo excited for all the cuddles I'm going to get at Christmas time from her when she visits us for 2 whole weeks! Plus we always get tons of presents! Woo hoo

Okay that's all from me today, bye for now...I couldn't resist putting up a picture, see I was a cute baby!
